Martin has been with BSH for 17 years and has held positions in the company with responsibilities ranging from strategy, to product marketing and production to sales. He is currently managing director of BSH in Northern Europe and serves as member of the BSH Digital Business Board. He has a broad operational background and a strong network in the company. His prime expertise for the start-ups in the BSH Future Home Accelerator is in the fields of sales, marketing, general management and leadership topics such as building the right team and a winning company culture.
After his studies of Business Economics Mario started his career in strategy consultancy at Accenture. He moved on to Deutsche Telekom. After different positions within Corporate Strategy as well as in operational management of Telekom Germany, Mario Pieper co-founded a startup in the Smart Home environment.
Since 2014, Mario Pieper is the Chief Digital Officer of BSH and since 2018 Head of the Digital Business Unit.
The startups will have the chance to benefit from our experience and knowledge, and an installed base of more than a million connected home appliances.
Andrea has been more than 25 years in international management and finance. At BSH she filled a number of key strategic roles transformative tasks including setting up and running companies. For BSH she is supporting and managing the digital business of BSH and its Startups covering all business administrative aspects.
Niels spent more than 8 years in management consulting in various industries and several functional areas (incl. Internet/ digital). He has more than 9 years of experience in the home appliance industry. Currently, he is responsible for the Global Digital Transition Department that is driving BSH Home Appliance's digital transition with focus on consumers across different digital touchpoints including the Home Connect platform for WiFi enabled home appliances of Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Gaggenau and Thermador. Prior to that he was responsible for defining BSH's digital strategy and the build up of new digital capabilities.
Christian has been in the home appliance industry for 18 years. He has worked in different product Areas and functional positions in Europe and North America.
Currently he is responsible for the Refrigeration Business of BSH in the Region Europe. One of his current challenges is the transition of hardware business to the digital world.
This is the first joint accelerator program of BSH and Techstars. Together they are looking for startups worldwide with innovative ideas for the future home and its core, the connected kitchen. The accelerator is part of an open innovation approach. BSH wants to collaborate with startups in order to help them to accelerate their business models, which in return inspires us. We hope for a successful collaboration also after the Accelerator program in order boost our speed of innovation.
Janine has been in the home appliance industry since 8 years, working in various management positions at BSH with a focus on strategy & innovation, consumer insights & trend scouting as well as driving digitalization.
She has a broad network within the company and an extensive industry knowledge to share with you.
Continuous trend and start-up scouting enables her to bring in a holistic perspective on innovations & trends in the small domestic appliances sector as well as a strong understanding of existing and emerging consumer needs.
Nora is an attorney-at-law with more than 15 years of experience as in-house legal and compliance counsel in various industries, including FMCG and B2B solutions. She joined BSH as Group General Counsel in 2013 and is leading our global legal and compliance function as well as our Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Controls System. She keeps track of the relevant legal and regulatory landscape and provides BSH with efficient mechansims to secure a healthy risk balance for the Business and to keep our teams away from trouble.
Johannes (Jo) has been in branding, marketing & communications in various industries (sports, automotive, tech and consumer goods) for over 20 years. He has been with BSH since 2012 developing global Bosch brand communication campaigns. He currently leads BSH corporate communications.

Jo will support you in defining this purpose as the fundamental idea for building a brand. Besides, Jo has a very large network within BSH and at our parent company Robert Bosch.
As former youth European champion in table tennis, Sebastian learned in his early years that having success requires endurance and a winning spirit. This helped him during his 14 years career at BSH.
Started in production, he came across the fields of supply chain management and logistics at different management positions and is currently accelerating supply chain innovation for planning, factory logistics and related IT technologies worldwide.
Michael joins BSH in 1988, starting as a research engineer and meanwhile working in various management positions at BSH on the development and production side. He is a BSH senior mentor with a broad knowledge in the home appliance industry and he is eager to share product development and production insights with you.
Techstars is the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Sven Schnee joined BSH 25 years ago and acquires broad knowledge in product marketing, brand communication, brand management, sales, leadership and change management. He also worked in BSH subsidiaries in France and Russia for many years.
The last 10 years sees Sven’s role as entrepreneur heading up the global business of the luxury brand Gaggenau. He considers this task a unique chance to lead a purpose-driven professional life.
